DHD Achieves Significant Progress and Triumphs in 2023

DHD audio, a leader in digital broadcast studio technology, had a fruitful 2023. The year was marked by the introduction of the XS3 IP Core and an improved XD3 IP Core. These products debuted at the IBC 2023 in Amsterdam.

Marc Herrmann, the company’s Managing Director, highlighted their modular design, which allows for flexible initial setup and adaptability to changing workflows and scalability. These new cores cater to the increasing need for both local and remote IP connectivity in various broadcasting applications.

XS3 Studio IP Core: Compact and Efficient
The XS3 Studio IP Core, designed to fit in just 1U of rack space, supports up to 20 stereo faders on DHD .audio mixing consoles. It includes a multi-I/O interface module and an integral setup assistant tool, offering both default and advanced settings via DHD’s Toolbox configuration software.

XD3 High-Capacity IP Core: For Larger Operations
The XD3 High-Capacity IP Core is ideal for larger setups, supporting up to 96 stereo audio faders and extensive channel routing capabilities. Enhanced with a quad-core CPU, it can run additional features like Thimeo Audio Technology’s Stereo Tool.

Compact TX2 Console Launch
DHD also introduced the TX2, an ultra-compact audio production console. It features a 10.1-inch multitouch display, adjustable potentiometers, and silent multicolor buttons, configurable to various workflow needs.

Major Projects and Collaborations in 2023
2023 saw DHD completing several significant projects. BVmedia supervised installations for Italian broadcasters RadiOrizzonti and Radio Duchessa, who chose DHD’s DX2 and SX2 consoles, respectively. In Israel, Radio Kol Rega upgraded to DHD digital consoles in collaboration with Broadcast Design. Colombian national broadcaster RTVC and Blu Radio also integrated DHD’s SX2 consoles into their studios. Additionally, Belgian broadcaster VRT updated its central studios with DHD RX2 and TX mixers, continuing their long-standing relationship with DHD.

NH Media’s Choice: DHD for Simplified Audio Production
NH Media in Hilversum adopted DHD audio mixers for their ease of use in complex audio setups. The system, comprising SX2 desks, XC3 Cores, and TX panels, was implemented with the help of Dutch broadcast and IT solutions firm D&MS and Media Utilities.

A Year of Global Growth and IP Transition
Reflecting on 2023, Marc Herrmann expressed satisfaction with the company’s global customer growth and its role in advancing IP technology in modern broadcasting.
