DHD audio, a global leader in digital broadcast sound solutions, is set to showcase its latest innovations at IBC 2023. The spotlight at stand 8.B73 will be on the new XS3 IP Core processor and an upgraded version of the XD3 IP Core. Attendees will also get a glimpse of DHD’s diverse range of mixing and production consoles.

NEW: DHD XS3 IP Core Audio Processor

At the core of every DHD system are compact digital processors that connect control surfaces across studios or post-production suites. These processors handle input/output routing and external interfacing. They seamlessly integrate IP audio feeds and IP-connected remote device control, while also supporting automated workflows and product virtualization.

The XS3 IP Core audio processor, making its debut, supports up to 20 stereo faders on DHD audio mixing consoles. Housed in a 1U rack space, it promises swift configuration. An in-built setup assistant lets system supervisors choose from default settings, with customizable button functions and display layouts. For more intricate settings, DHD’s Toolbox configuration software can be accessed with an optional license.

ENHANCED: DHD XD3 IP Core Audio Processor

The XD3 IP Core is tailored for mixing systems with up to 96 stereo audio faders in broadcast studios, boasting 10,240 x 12,288 channel routing. The revamped version comes with a quad-core CPU, enabling additional features. A highlight is the integration of Thimeo Audio Technology’s Stereo Tool. Each quad-core XD3 IP Core will come with a demo version of this tool.

Stereo Tool, trusted by over 3,000 global broadcast stations and numerous streaming stations, offers a plethora of production capabilities. From repairing audio distortion and hum removal to dynamic filters and enhancers, it’s a comprehensive audio processing solution. The XD3 also supports various connectivity options, including Audinate Dante, AES67/RAVENNA, AES3/EBU, Gigabit Audio, APC, MADI, and analogue.
