DHD will demonstrate examples from its wide range of digital audio studio equipment and systems at Hamburg Open 2025, Hamburg Messe & Congress Centre, Wednesday January 15th through Thursday 16th.
Leipzig, Germany, December 11th, 2024
Among the main new products is the recently introduced RM1 universal audio interface.
“The RM1 is a compact and highly versatile desktop unit which allows fully professional audio content to be created in practically any location for onsite recording or IP-linked live feed to a broadcast station,” comments Christoph Gottert, joint international sales manager. “Designed to bridge the worlds of podcast and broadcast audio production, it is fast and easy to set up and use, essentially plug-and-play, including connection with external callers via Bluetooth, USB or direct audio input. Wireless, hotspot and Dante connectivity is also supported. “All features of the RM1 can be controlled from an attached computer or tablet via a browser-style interface. Production-ready presets for popular microphones are included. Audio gain can be controlled manually or based on a speech sample. A selectable AutoMix mode ensures a clean and balanced mix by automatically balancing incoming audio channels, conforming background music to a predetermined level and minimising distractions. Users can choose and create the optimal setting to enhance their individual presentation styles.”
DHD will also demonstrate its RX2 and SX2 mixing consoles. These can be configured to match any desired scale and style of broadcast operation, single or multisite. Top of the range is the RX2. Developed for the highest demands in radio and TV broadcast environments, it is designed to integrate into on-air studios, main control rooms and OB vans. Each console section has a 10.1 inch touchscreen allowing efficient on-air operation. RX2 configuration scales easily from small production units with 6 or 12 faders to large consoles with up to 96 faders. Each module has a dedicated high brightness 10.1 inch touch display. Supported character sets include West European, Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Tamil and Thai.
The SX2 mixing console is based on a central module with four motorised faders. Each SX2 unit can be function independently or be chained with others to create a single mixing desk. The central module gives access to the most important audio inputs and outputs. Also available is a module with six motorised faders which allows the addition of a second layer accommodating up to 16 channels. Central and fader modules each incorporate a 10.1 inch multitouch display showing relevant configuration and operating parameters. SX2 features can be extended simply by adding optional license codes to the DSP core. This allows extra faders, busses and clean-feeds. Functions such as loudness metering, profanity delay and talkback to other DHD mixers are also supported.
Smallest of the DHD product family is the TX2 multitouch mixing console which will be demonstrated on adjacent Stand by AVT Audio Video Technologies in combination with AVT’s telephone hybrid products. Designed for daily operation where space is at a premium, the TX2 includes a 10.1 inch capacitive multitouch IPS display, two assignable potentiometers and six silent multicolor hardware buttons. It can be used with XC3 or XD3 cores in isolation.
