DirectOut has announced a significant update to its PRODIGY.MX system. This upgrade will be showcased at two major events: The NAMM Show 2024 in Anaheim from January 25 to 28, and ISE 2024 in Barcelona from January 30 to February 2.
The upgrade includes new features in the ‘Advanced’ system license. The PRODIGY.MX now offers a 64×64 Matrix Mixer, 64 Flex Channels with plug-ins for IIR Filters, Dynamics, and Delay. Also, there are 64 Input Managers and EARS™️ for all input channels, enhancing redundancy and resilience. Customers can purchase these features individually or through the ‘Advanced’ license.
Claudio Becker-Foss on the Audio Solution Model Claudio Becker-Foss, CTO of DirectOut, expressed enthusiasm about the upgrade. He emphasized the Audio Solution Model (ASM), a five-layer model focusing on comprehensive audio solutions. The model combines hardware platforms, skins, control protocols, GUI, and add-ons, offering flexibility and customization. The PRODIGY series, being their premier hardware platform, greatly benefits from these software and firmware enhancements.
Integration with Lawo’s HOME Ecosystem DirectOut also announced the HOME control license, integrating the PRODIGY Series with Lawo’s HOME ecosystem. This integration facilitates IP discovery and registration on a RAVENNA network, stream routing, device monitoring, parameter control, and security features through a single API.
Enhanced Control with LAWO mc²-series Console The PRODIGY parameters can now be adjusted from a LAWO mc²-series console with HOME functionality. This native support for HOME offers benefits to DirectOut’s users, providing gateway options into Dante and RAVENNA networks at all sampling rates supported by Lawo’s A__UHD Core. Becker-Foss noted the ease of access to device features from the mc² console surface and the advantages of integrating with the Dante and RAVENNA realms.
