DoPchoice recently announced the release of their new SNAPBAG light modifier, designed specifically for Litepanels Astra IP fixtures.
This new softbox, featuring a unique tulip shape, offers enhanced setup convenience and increased control over the Astra IP’s lighting capabilities.
Design and Features
The Tulip-Style SNAPBAG for the Astra IP is based on DoPchoice’s popular SNAPBAG snap-up softbox design. The tulip shape, paired with the fixture’s flat yoke, allows for easier handling and improves the downward tilt angle by 30 degrees. The softbox uses a parabolic curve architecture and DoPchoice’s proprietary Snapshape material, eliminating the need for skeletal ribs or rods. The silver reflective interior intensifies the light output, and users can adjust the light quality with a direct-fit 40-degree Snapgrid and additional diffusions for softer light output.

Ease of Use
The SNAPBAG softbox for the Astra IP is lightweight and quick to set up, making it easy to attach to the fixture. Two elastic straps simplify adjustments and secure the SNAPBAG to the rear of the light. The straight yoke design of the Astra allows for more compact stacking and storage.
Pricing and Availability
The SNAPBAG softbox is available in three sizes to fit the Astra IP Half, 1×1, and 2×1 fixtures. These softboxes are also compatible with Litepanels’ original Astra and 1×1 Snapbag accessories, including Snapgrids. The models are available for pre-order at the following prices: $295 for the Half, $333 for the 1×1, and $428 for the 2×1.
