At IBC 2023, ENCO is set to showcase a groundbreaking integration of virtual production and PTZ technology from its newly acquired Qimera and RUSHWORKS product lines.
This integration, will highlight the company’s enhanced live production capabilities, achieved through recent strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
Earlier this year, ENCO acquired RUSHWORKS, adding a robust range of production, streaming, and robotics systems to its portfolio. Additionally, ENCO became the exclusive North American distributor for Qimera in June, introducing a suite of real-time compositing tools for virtual production sets and augmented reality graphics.
The IBC2023 demonstration will spotlight how broadcasters can craft captivating AR experiences for live broadcasts. This is achieved by merging Qimera’s compositing systems with RUSHWORKS’ award-winning PTX Model 3 PRO pan/tilt head. Attendees will immerse themselves in an AR environment, enriched with Qimera’s Unreal Engine plug-in graphics. The PTX Model 3 PRO pan/tilt head will enhance the visual experience with its smooth, silent operation. The AR visuals will be projected at ENCO’s stand and displayed on a large monitor, allowing attendees to dissect the AR production elements in action.
Qimera’s virtual production tools are tailored for contemporary production workflows. With an intuitive interface, editors can swiftly design advanced virtual sets and AR graphics. Features include lighting control, PTZ camera integration, a 3D assets library, multi-layer composition, and a virtual crane, among others.
The RUSHWORKS PTX Model 3 PRO pan/tilt head boasts passthrough connections for various interfaces, ensuring smooth camera and lens operations. Constructed from steel and aluminum, it offers a stable platform for seamless presets and on-air movements. It’s compatible with camera/lens combinations from leading brands like Blackmagic Design, Canon, and Sony.
IBC 2023 is scheduled from September 15-18 at the Amsterdam RAI.
