The École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle (ESRA) has recently marked a significant milestone in its history by entering into an agreement with ARRI.
This partnership is part of the ARRI Certified Film School program, aimed at modernizing ESRA’s equipment and enriching its faculty’s expertise. Celebrating its 51st year, ESRA becomes the first French film school to receive this distinguished certification, aligning with other globally recognized ARRI Academy accredited institutions.
Enhancing Academic Excellence
Under this accreditation, ESRA benefits from the ARRI Academy’s comprehensive educational resources. The program focuses on a “train the trainer” approach, where selected faculty members undergo specialized training to become ARRI certified trainers. This initiative ensures a thorough understanding of ARRI products and workflows, equipping them with an array of training materials from ARRI Academy. This inclusion allows them to either adopt pre-designed training modules or develop customized courses.
Graduates of these registered film schools will receive ARRI Academy certificates, issued under the name of their respective institutions, upon successful completion of the program.
Upgrading to Cutting-edge Technology
In a move to ensure effective implementation of the newly acquired knowledge, ESRA has upgraded its equipment to include several ARRI ALEXA 35 cameras. Max Azoulay, President and Founder of ESRA, expressed enthusiasm about this evolution, noting the decade-long use of ALEXA Plus and ALEXA Mini for student projects in various locations. The addition of the ALEXA 35 cameras is seen as a significant enhancement in training students with the latest technology.
ARRI’s Support and Recognition
Natasza Chroscicki, ARRI’s Business Developer for the Mediterranean region, welcomed ESRA into the ARRI Certified Film School family. This partnership is viewed as an honor by ARRI, recognizing the opportunity it presents for students to gain advanced knowledge and access to state-of-the-art technologies, thus better preparing them for the film industry.
