FEELWORLD has introduced the F5 PROX, a high-brightness, 1080p, HDMI monitor at a great price. The maximum brightness of this on-camera display is 1600nits – just over 3x as bright as the FEELWORLD F5 Pro V2.

FEELWORLD is an established budget equipment brand based in China. Although primarily known for their monitors, they also market wireless transmitters, live switchers, lights, and video products. Their products are on par with other budget brands and offer good value for less.

F5 PROX is a touchscreen panel that uses simple tap and swipe gestures to adjust monitor functions without buttons. However, it also features three user-assigned shortcut keys for commonly used functions. The F5 PROX has a full-sized HDMI-IN, HDMI-OUT for video inputs and passthrough. The monitor can be powered using Sony F900 batteries, a 5.5mm barrel 12 VDC power input, or a USB-C 5 VDC input. It also features a 5.5mm barrel 8.4 VDC output for powering the camera or accessories.

Although it is physically identical to the FEELWORLD F5 PRO V2, the X boosts an LED backlight with 1600nits of brightness. According to the manufacturer, it allows the screen to be clearly visible outdoors without needing a sun-hood.

Competition

There is a lot of competition for the FEELWORLD F5 PROX. Similar offerings from Andycine, Lilliput, Elvid, and undoubtedly several other Chinese brands have created a very saturated marketplace. FEELWORLD also manufactures a 6-inch monitor known as FEELWORLD LUT6E, which essentially features the same specifications as their standard monitor but boasts a larger screen size.

These competitors are likely using many of the same available internal components and are making monitor tweaks to the chassis to distinguish themselves. With that in mind, the monitor you choose comes down to your preference.

Price and availability

The FEELWORLD F5 PROX is available for $179.99
