FilmConvert Introduces New Camera Pack for GoPro HERO12 Black

In September 2023, the GoPro HERO12 Black was introduced to the market, maintaining its reputation as a leading action camera despite minimal advancements over the GoPro HERO11 Black.

The HERO12 Black continues to support 5.3K video at 60 fps and offers 4K120p/2.7K240p resolutions, identical to its predecessor. Key improvements include HDR video modes, enhanced battery life, a new 10-bit GP-Log picture profile, wireless timecode synchronization, and an updated Max Lens Mod 2.0 for wide-angle shots, making it an appealing choice for content creators and outdoor enthusiasts.

FilmConvert’s Latest Release

FilmConvert has recently updated its camera pack library to include profiles designed for the GoPro HERO12 Black. These profiles are compatible with FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch, two plugins used for color correction and grading in widely-used video editing software like Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Known for facilitating quick and professional-grade project enhancements, these tools are staples in the workflow at CineD.

CineMatch offers an efficient color-matching process by allowing users to select their source and target camera models for automatic adjustment. Nitrate, utilizing the same extensive camera sensor data, enables users to apply film stock looks to their footage effortlessly. The addition of the HERO12 Black to FilmConvert’s library simplifies the color matching and grading processes for footage captured with this camera, alongside other supported devices.

Availability and Pricing

For existing users of FilmConvert’s CineMatch or Nitrate, the new GoPro HERO12 Black camera profiles are available at no additional cost. Users can download the latest camera pack through the plugin’s camera pack downloader feature. This update further expands the versatility of FilmConvert’s offerings, ensuring users can maintain high-quality, consistent color grading across a wide range of camera models.
