Apple is set to release a new application, Final Cut Camera, designed to enhance video recording capabilities on the iPhone and iPad.

This app will allow users to monitor and control video feeds live when using the Live Multicam feature in Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.
The Final Cut Camera app introduces various control adjustments for iPhone and iPad users, such as white balance, manual focus, ISO, and shutter speed. Additional monitoring features include zebras and audio meters, along with enabling focus peaking. These enhancements provide users, particularly those focused on consumer and social media content creation, with more control over their video recording settings.
Despite these improvements, the Final Cut Camera app does not match the functionality level of the Blackmagic Camera App, which is known for its extensive control capabilities.
The app will be available for free this spring and can be installed on iPhone models starting from the iPhone XS and later, which must be operating on iOS 17.4 or newer. Compatible iPad models must be running on iPadOS 17.4 or newer.
