Introducing FA-1616 and SOAR-A Edge IP Transport

Two key technologies will be presented at the NAB Show: the FA-1616 multi-channel processor and the SOAR-A Edge IP transport appliance.

  • FA-1616 Multi-Channel Processor: This processor serves as a gateway between SDI and IP, IP to IP, and SDI to SDI, supporting frame synchronization for up to 32 channels. It offers various features, including color correction and audio remapping, and is customizable with expansion cards for different formats such as 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI and SMPTE ST 2110.
  • SOAR-A Edge IP Transport: Powered by SipRadius, SOAR-A Edge is a software-based encoder/decoder that provides ultra-low latency IP transport. It supports the conversion and delivery of SD, HD, 4K, and NDI signals to SMPTE ST 2110 standards and enables secure remote production.
Software-Defined Architecture for Flexibility

Both the FA-1616 and SOAR-A Edge are part of FOR-A’s software-defined solutions, offering scalability and customization through software upgrades rather than hardware investments. This allows for hybrid production across various signal formats.
