At the NAB Show 2024, held in booth C4507, FOR-A will spotlight a cutting-edge production automation package developed in collaboration with Aveco.
This innovative solution seamlessly combines FOR-A’s HVS Series production switchers, Insight video servers, and ClassX graphics systems with Aveco’s ASTRA Studio production automation and GEMINI media management systems. The package is specifically designed to meet the needs of broadcasters, focusing on mid-sized, small-market, and public stations.
KTEN-TV Leads Deployment
Lockwood Broadcast Group’s KTEN-TV, serving the Sherman, TX, and Ada, OK market, is the first broadcaster to implement this comprehensive package. The integration of Aveco’s ASTRA production automation with the FOR-A HVS-490 video switcher has equipped KTEN-TV with a complete production system. This system enhances accessibility to graphics, servers, and routers, streamlining the broadcast process.
David Tillery of KTEN-TV highlighted the ease of implementation and operation, noting the system’s capacity for on-the-fly adjustments and its sophisticated broadcast capabilities. Bob Pectelidis, Director of Corporate Engineering at Lockwood Broadcast Group, emphasized the system’s contribution to elevating KTEN’s production values and its role in enhancing viewer engagement through high-quality, cost-effective technology.
Future Collaborations and Support
Satoshi Kanemura, President of FOR-A Americas, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Lockwood Broadcast Group and anticipation for future collaborations. He praised the group’s pioneering approach to broadcasting and acknowledged the trust they have placed in FOR-A and Aveco’s production automation technology.
