GatesAir, a global leader in wireless over-the-air content delivery solutions for radio and TV broadcasters, has expanded its service team by hiring Emmanuel Franco as a Service Support Engineer.

With nearly 20 years of technical service experience in broadcast RF systems, Franco brings expertise that will enhance GatesAir’s global customer support efforts. He will report directly to GatesAir Service Support Manager David Motley.

Background in Broadcast Electronics

Franco comes to GatesAir after a 15-year tenure at Broadcast Electronics, where he gained experience in installing and servicing AM, FM, and TV transmitters. His new role at GatesAir will focus on providing on-site installations, remote technical support, and customer training. His bilingual skills in English and Spanish are expected to improve support across various regions, particularly in Latin America, where he previously led technical support initiatives.

Supporting Global Customers

Brent Whelan, GatesAir’s Director of Services, highlights Franco’s experience in radio as a valuable asset, especially given the large number of GatesAir AM, FM, and HD Radio transmission systems in use globally. Franco’s knowledge of STL systems will also benefit GatesAir’s Intraplex networking customers.

Focus on Technical Support and Customer Relationships

Franco’s expertise in troubleshooting, software installation, and managing customer relationships will be applied across both on-site and remote support scenarios. He aims to continue his work in supporting over-the-air broadcasters and build strong customer relationships while ensuring smooth operations.
