These products aim to enhance customers’ infrastructure and expand their networking capabilities. The new offerings include the fourth addition to GatesAir’s second generation of Intraplex IP Link codec solutions, as well as the company’s first Intraplex solution designed to assist DAB broadcasters with IP contribution and distribution strategies.
New Two-Channel Codec and MPX Bridge
GatesAir will debut the Intraplex IP Link 200n codec at IBC2024, which adds a full duplex, two stereo-channel option to their second-generation IP Link lineup. This follows the previous release of the IP Link 100n, a single stereo-channel version. The IP Link 200n features enhanced audio processing technology, updated audio compression algorithms, and greater capacity for integrated features. It also supports Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) for low-latency networking, cloud connectivity, and backward compatibility with first-generation IP Link codecs.
In addition, GatesAir will introduce a new MPX Bridge device for radio broadcasters. This device allows for the digital transport of FM composite signals across IP networks, eliminating the need for a new processor. The MPX Bridge is compatible with all second-generation IP Link products and is available immediately.
Low-Latency DAB Transport
GatesAir will also showcase an enhancement to its IPConnect transport technology, enabling ultra-low-latency IP transport for DAB networks. This technology wraps real-time IP-based EDI streams in the SRT protocol for reliable distribution across DAB networks. The solution works with all GatesAir DAB transmitters, including the Maxiva OP Series, MultiD multicarrier systems, and PMTX-1 outdoor weatherproof transmitters.
GatesAir’s new Intraplex solutions are designed to help broadcasters improve their infrastructure and distribution capabilities, offering reliable and efficient tools for modern broadcasting needs.
