New AoIP Technology from Glensound Showcased at CABSAT

Glensound, a leading provider of high-quality audio systems, is presenting its latest networked audio products at CABSAT.

The company is at the forefront of incorporating Audio over IP (AoIP) into production architectures for broadcasting and AV, emphasizing utility and practicality.

Features of the AoIP22M Interface

The AoIP22M, a newly updated portable interface, is designed for transmitting two audio channels to Dante/AES67 networked audio systems. It features selectable microphone and line level inputs, individual controls for 48V phantom power and gain, and can be powered via Ethernet using a robust Ethercon connector or a USB source. This flexibility allows it to function as either a network microphone amplifier or a standalone analog microphone amplifier.

Introduction of DARK DAWN 1616M

Glensound has also introduced the DARK DAWN 1616M, enhancing its range of industry-standard interfaces. This device offers microphone level inputs with high-quality amplification and allows for remote switching between line, mic, and phantom power settings through an app. Gain control is accessible both from the device’s front panel and remotely via the app. The unit, which fits into a compact 1U cabinet, includes dual redundant power supplies and network output monitoring.

Adoption of Phoenix Connectors

In response to evolving preferences in AV and fixed installations, Glensound is incorporating Phoenix connectors in its Dante/AES67 interface products, as seen in the DARK8MAIP, which features these connectors in its eight-input microphone amplifier and network interface.

Expanded Vittoria Network Bridge Device

The Vittoria network bridge device has been highly valued by users, serving as a firewall between different network types. Glensound has expanded this device to a 64 x 64 network bridge, supporting Dante or Ravenna at sample rates from 44.1kHz to 96kHz. It includes primary and redundant network connections, available in copper or SFP fibre options.
