Glensound is presenting its newest additions to its lineup of networked audio solutions at the Media Production and Technology Show (MPTS).
Audio over IP (AoIP) has become a crucial component of production frameworks in both broadcasting and audiovisual fields. Glensound continues to be at the forefront with its functional and utilitarian designs.
Introduction of AoIP22M
The AoIP22M, a compact and portable two-channel interface for networked audio via Dante/AES67, showcases significant upgrades. It features selectable microphone and line level inputs, independent controls for 48V phantom power and gain, and versatile powering options via ethernet or USB. The device can function as either a network microphone amplifier or a standalone analog microphone amplifier, with outputs that can be toggled between network and amp sources.
Launch of DARK DAWN 1616M
The DARK DAWN 1616M marks the debut of the next generation of industry-standard interfaces from Glensound. It accommodates up to 16 input and output channels as analog feeds, compatible with Dante/AES67/SMPTE ST2110 streams. The device allows for flexible rigging through its high-quality mic level inputs and extensive control options, available both physically and via a dedicated app. Enclosed in a 1U cabinet, it also includes dual redundant power supplies for enhanced reliability.
Transition to Phoenix Connectors
In alignment with the shift in AV and fixed installations towards Phoenix connectors and away from XLRs, Glensound is integrating Phoenix connectors into its Dante/AES67 interface products, such as the DARK8MAIP. This product is a robust eight-input microphone amplifier and network interface featuring these connectors.
Vittoria Network Bridge Expansion
Responding to customer needs, Glensound has expanded its Vittoria network bridge lineup. Originally supporting 32 I/O streams, the new version now offers a 64 x 64 network bridge compatible with Dante or Ravenna networks. It supports sample rates ranging from 44.1kHz to 96kHz and includes primary and redundant network connections available via copper or SFP fibre. This device serves as a firewall between two network types, enhancing system security and connectivity.
