Recent Project Highlights

Globecast will highlight several recent projects at IBC2024. These include the implementation of a complete TV Head-End solution for OTT and IPTV with Orange, cloud-based production and workflow management for Euronews’ 14 channels, and global quality control services for a major streaming platform’s 8,000 channels.

The company has also renewed its agreement with Arabsat, incorporating a hybrid solution of satellite and SRT technology for global content delivery. This contract enhances services for GAB by adding terrestrial distribution to existing IPTV, digital TV, and OTT platforms.

Focus on Sports Broadcasting

Globecast remains committed to sports broadcasting, enabling playout and global distribution through an IP/cloud distribution mix. Recent projects include the Total Africa Cup of Nations 2024, Premier Padel Tournaments in Rome and Malaga, and the UEFA European Championships in Germany for SKY ITALIA and RAI, utilizing unilateral delivery via fiber.

Industry Insights and Panel Discussion

Jean-Christophe Perier, CMO of Globecast, emphasized the company’s role in modernizing technology stacks and workflows for rightsholders, broadcasters, operators, and digital platforms. Perier will participate in a panel session on Sunday, 15 September, at 12.45 pm. The session will discuss cloud strategies and the latest Content Everywhere cloud use cases, including the impact of AI and the extension of the cloud to new areas such as play-out.
