Godox has announced the release of the Cube-S, a new 2.4GHz wireless microphone system.
The Cube-S features ultra-lightweight microphones, weighing just 7 grams (0.24 oz.), and comes with a charger designed with a “time capsule” appearance. This system offers 48kHz/24-bit audio quality, a 300-meter transmission range, and can be operated via an app. Notably, the Cube-S is certified by Apple and integrates Find My support, making it the first product in this category to receive Apple’s approval.
Key Specifications
The Cube-S system includes a clip-on transmitter with a built-in microphone and a dual-channel receiver, available with either a Lightning or USB-C connector. The charger, which is compact in size (8.78×3.09×3.55 cm or 3.46×1.22×1.40 in), is one of the smallest on the market. The microphones are lightweight and come with customizable stickers for a personalized touch.
The audio specifications include a 48kHz/24-bit sampling rate, 86dB dynamic range, >70dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 115dB. The transmitter also functions as a remote control, allowing users to activate recording or take snapshots from up to 50 meters away. The system includes noise reduction features and offers stable transmission up to 300 meters.
App Integration and Battery Life
When used with the Godox Mic App, users can control the device through the app, including adjusting volume, real-time sound monitoring, checking battery levels, and performing firmware updates. The transmitter provides 10 hours of usage on a single charge, with the charging case allowing for two additional charges, totaling 30 hours of runtime. The charging time is approximately 1.5 hours.
Compatibility and Kit Options
The Cube-S is available in versions compatible with both iOS and Android devices, with USB-C or Lightning connectors. It can also connect directly to a PC without a cable. The Cube-S is integrated with Apple’s Find My support, enabling users to track their microphones through the app.

The Cube-S is available in four different kits, depending on the user’s needs. Prices are as follows (excluding VAT/tax): Cube-SC Kit1 is $54.90, Cube-SL Kit1 is $69, Cube-SC Kit2 is $109, and Cube-SL Kit2 is $119.
