Gustavo Robles, sales director of AEQ:
-
What are the main trends of IBC2023, in your opinion?
This year at IBC we clearly noticed the trend of new technologies in virtualisation and AI closely linked to remote working. For example, in the AEQ portfolio this year we have added a complete audiocodec system in the cloud, as well as surprising tech updates in the virtual control softwares.
-
What are the main directions of development most characteristic in your segment of the industry?
AoIP tecnology, virtualization and applications that make posible and easy remote productions workflows without losing any video and audio quality.
- What new products is your company showcasing at IBC 2023?
AEQ has presented several new products at IBC 2023:
TP9116 Intercom User Panel
The new AEQ TP9116 Intercom user panel has been launched and very well received. It has 16 4-way lever keys, two functions per lever, in addition to individual level regulation in the key itself, with DSP functions for perfect communication. Designed for the high level of audio quality for broadcast of the Conexia and CrossNET matrixes IP connectivity that handles audio in DANTE™ or AES67 format and low bit rate voice.
Venus 4, Audiocodec IP stationary double stereo full duplex
Local connectivity analog, digital and AoIP Dante. This new audiocodec for point-to-point links, or point-to-multipoint, stands out for having IP connectivity and two simultaneous bidirectional stereo transmissions with different formats and qualities. It also has SIP protocol and NB/ACIP standard of the EBU, as well as OPUS algorithms, configuration aid tools and remote control.
Smartalk, A Cloud-based audiocodec system
This app allows a simple connection between a sporadic or regular participant in a program, without the need to install any application or enter a username and password, simply with a direct web-link. Audio is sent bi-directionally in high-quality, low-delay stereo format with OPUS encoding.
XPEAK, Matrixless Intercom system, is ready for remote production
Now the connection is simple even if the equipment is in different locations, simply by giving them access to the internet. Activating for a network of XPEAK terminals the option of remote connection, each terminal automatically communicates with a service installed in the cloud, which puts it in contact with the other terminals of the network. Automatic remote connection can also be used, integrating the terminals into a VLAN. This makes it easier to set up the coordination of remote productions.
- Are there any developments in integrating AI into your solutions?
We have had Audioplus, as a 5th generation automation system since 1992, and we are working now to add some managers with AI.
