HAMBURG OPEN 2025, the networking event for the broadcast and media technology industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, will open its doors again on 15 and 16 January under the motto People. Media. Technology.
Around 200 exhibitors from Germany and abroad are expected at the Expo. The trade fair is organised by Hamburg Messe und Congress in cooperation with Studio Hamburg MCI. With an inspiring programme of talks, an extensive technology exhibition and a wide range of networking opportunities in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, the event has now established itself as the most important industry get-together for professionals in the fields of media, streaming and broadcast technology in Germany.
Extended range of media and conference technology
In 2025, HAMBURG OPEN will be further expanding its range for media and conference technology professionals. Visitors will benefit from customised solutions for video or streaming content production, as well as from offers relating to conference room equipment and collaboration technologies.
With its comprehensive programme, the trade fair is addressing the current opportunities and challenges that arise, for example, from the growing use of artificial intelligence. At the HAMBURG OPEN FORUM, on the OPEN STAGE and in numerous workshops and masterclasses, participants will have the opportunity to find out more about the key technologies in the industry and discuss legal issues.
Cooperation partners such as FKTG (Fernseh- und Kinotechnische Gesellschaft) will focus on remote production in their lectures, highlighting smart, efficient and sustainable production methods. Universities will offer exciting insights into current research projects, while leading experts from industry and broadcasting organisations will share their knowledge and experiences using practical examples.
Networking in a relaxed, informal atmosphere
In addition to high-quality content, informal networking is also a key focus of HAMBURG OPEN 2025. The networking area is the heart of the expo and offers the ideal meeting place to exchange ideas with industry colleagues and creative professionals, hold technical discussions and make new contacts.

In 2024, around 180 exhibitors presented their innovations and industry trends at the Hamburg Messe und Congress site. There is an increasing range of media and AV technology products that focus on mobility, flexibility and efficiency in collaboration and technology integration.
