TFT1957 Interviews Harjinder Sandhu, Director of Marketing at Zixi, at IBC2024.
– What new products and solutions is your company showcasing at IBC2024?
Zixi is a software-defined video platform company that offers orchestration solutions for IP video delivery. Its mission is to orchestrate flawless video over IP networks. Zixi is used by some of the largest media organizations in the world—over 1,400 of them—to transport, deliver, and manage their video content from one location to another. During this process, if any additional features or processing is required, Zixi also handles those needs.
Zixi: Features and Functionalities for Broadcasters at IBC 2024
At IBC this year, we’re launching version 18 of our software, which focuses on reducing the total cost of ownership. New features like the AWS Marketplace switching feature, enhancements in compute efficiency, DPDK (high-performance networking), are all aimed at lowering the total cost of ownership. This means that compute requirements and bandwidth usage are significantly reduced, resulting in bottom-line savings.
– What do you think are the future trends for the exhibition?
We know that cloud is now fully being deployed. Over the next four or five years, we expect to see massive adoption of video over public internet and cloud solutions. AI and machine learning will also play a big role in workflows. Zixi is already using AI and ML to predict network failures, outages, and signal issues, helping our customers take preventive action before problems occur. From our perspective, the trends around exhibitions are strong. We still love IBC, NAB, and large trade shows because they give us the opportunity to meet customers in one place and showcase our latest products and innovations.
– Thanks a lot for the interview!
