Harmonic will demonstrate its latest developments for fiber and DOCSIS networks at the ANGA COM conference in Germany.
These technologies aim to improve network speeds and reliability, which could help operators generate more revenue and retain customers.

Nimrod Ben-Natan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harmonic’s Broadband Business, and CEO-designee of Harmonic, emphasized the importance of reliability, speed, and versatility for service providers’ growth and profitability. Innovative Technologies on Display
Harmonic plans to present several key innovations at ANGA COM:
- Intelligent Speed Optimization: The new Beacon intelligent speed maximizer (ISM) for DOCSIS networks, running on the cOS virtualized broadband platform, is designed to optimize both upstream and downstream speeds and mitigate network impairments.
- Advanced Fiber Solutions: The unveiling of a new remote Optical Line Terminal (R-OLT) device, which supports various technologies such as GPON, XGS-PON, and ComboPON, will cater to diverse market needs and broadband architectures.
- Open ONU Strategy: Harmonic’s cOS platform will showcase its compatibility with various ONUs, allowing operators more flexibility and freedom from vendor lock-in.
- DOCSIS 4.0 Capabilities: The platform will also support DOCSIS 4.0 with extended spectrum DOCSIS (ESD), achieving downstream speeds exceeding 9Gbps, which enhances both speed and security.
