Harmonic, a global provider of virtualized broadband and video delivery solutions, confirmed it has received a binding offer from MediaKind to acquire its Video Business segment for approximately $145 million in cash.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, pending the French employee works council consultation, regulatory approvals, and standard closing conditions.
Strategic Focus on Broadband
The potential divestiture would support Harmonic’s long-term strategy by allowing the company to focus on its virtualized Broadband business. Harmonic states the sale would provide additional capital, strengthen its balance sheet, and increase financial capacity to support customers and drive shareholder value.
Statements From Leadership
“This strategic transaction will, if completed, advance the growth strategies of both companies,” said Nimrod Ben-Natan, president and CEO of Harmonic. “It would allow Harmonic to zero in on its core Broadband segment, while ensuring the Video Business, its customers and dedicated employees become part of an organization committed to the future of video delivery.”

MediaKind CEO Allen Broome said, “This combination would represent a meaningful step forward in our long-term strategy. By joining Harmonic’s Video Business with MediaKind, we would strengthen our ability to invest across our entire portfolio through an expanded R&D platform. Together, we would create the leading independent streaming infrastructure company.”

Financial Guidance
Harmonic also reaffirmed its total company financial guidance for Q4 2025, as referenced in its third-quarter 2025 results.
