Allen & Heath, in collaboration with Harrison Audio, has introduced Harrison LiveTrax, a new software solution for multitrack recording and virtual soundcheck.

This software is designed for ease of use, stability, and seamless integration with Allen & Heath mixers.

Designed for Sound Engineers

Keith Johnson, Senior Product Manager at Allen & Heath, emphasizes the importance of dependable and straightforward solutions for live recording in high-pressure environments. He states, “Harrison LiveTrax is specifically designed for these tasks, offering a new level of integration with our consoles beyond basic transport control.”

Key Features and Capabilities

Harrison LiveTrax offers unlimited track count, making it suitable for various event sizes, from small weekend shows to large-scale performances. It includes a resizable ‘big clock’ and a dedicated Meterbridge window with oversized meters and record-arm indicators for easy verification of active recording. Users can monitor CPU usage, Disk I/O, and Remaining Record Time. The ‘System Lock’ feature prevents unintended keypresses during recording.

Integration and Compatibility

LiveTrax captures scene changes from Allen & Heath consoles, inserting them as markers on the timeline for virtual soundcheck and timecode automation. The software can sync track names with dLive, Avantis, and Qu mixers, with future support for CQ and SQ models. It also supports timecode sync, transport control, MIDI, and OSC compatibility, ensuring integration with large touring rigs and complex show automation systems.
