A suite of innovative network products, including IP MPLS routers and high-capacity fiber cables, unveiled at India Mobile Congress 2023.
HFCL, a prominent player in the network solutions sector, capitalized on the grand stage of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2023 to unveil an extensive range of products tailored to meet the evolving needs of telecommunications companies and enterprises. Among the standout innovations are the company’s IP MPLS router line and a unique optical fiber cable line, both designed to address the challenges of modern connectivity and bandwidth.
The newly introduced IP MPLS Router product line is strategically positioned to empower telecommunications companies in backhauling 5G and fiber broadband networks. It also aims to provide robust last-mile connectivity solutions for enterprises located in bustling urban metros as well as tier 2 cities. This addition to HFCL’s product portfolio underscores the company’s commitment to building scalable and efficient networks, capable of handling diverse data traffic, supporting Quality of Service (QoS) for bandwidth prioritization, and alleviating network congestion.
In tandem with the IP MPLS routers, HFCL has launched its 1728-high-fiber count Intermittently Bonded Ribbon (IBR) Optical Fiber Cable. This product is a game-changer for telecommunications companies and enterprises eager to fast-track the installation of 5G network infrastructure, expand Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) capabilities, and meet the soaring demand for high-capacity networks, especially from hyper-scale data centers. The gel-free IBR cable stands out for its compatibility with high-productivity mass fusion splicing, ensuring cost-efficient deployment, easy installation in densely populated areas, and swift restoration capabilities in the event of accidental outages.
Further diversifying its product lineup, HFCL is making strides in broadband wireless networking with its 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), Unlicensed Band Radio (UBR), and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) offerings. The UBR, in particular, promises low-latency, 2 Gbps connectivity across an extended 5GHz frequency range. HFCL asserts that this 5G wireless backhauling solution with 2 Gbps UBR can potentially enable savings of up to 75% on the total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to traditional backhaul solutions. The company’s Indoor and Outdoor 5G FWA CPE products are poised to enhance wireless broadband penetration in both urban and rural locales, addressing the last-mile connectivity challenge across critical global markets.
Mahendra Nahata, Managing Director of HFCL, expressed the company’s enthusiasm in contributing to the global digital transformation agenda, stating, “To address the requirements of countries to fast-track digital transformation by building a robust 5G network infrastructure, we launched our comprehensive ensemble of next-gen technologies including 5G FWA CPE, IP MPLS Routers, 2Gbps UBR along with UcNMS and 1728-high fiber IBR Optical Fiber Cable.” HFCL’s latest offerings reflect its unwavering commitment to innovation, efficiency, and connectivity, promising to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global telecommunications and network infrastructure.
