Hitachi Unveils DK-H700 4K Box Camera at 2024 NAB Show

At the 2024 NAB Show, taking place from April 14-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Hitachi Kokusai Electric is proud to showcase the DK-H700 4K box camera, which is now available for purchase.

Positioned at Booth C4516, this cutting-edge device is targeted towards high-end broadcasting, professional audiovisual, and government sectors.

Features and Capabilities

Previously previewed as a concept at last year’s NAB Show, the DK-H700 is now ready to demonstrate its capabilities to attendees. The camera is designed with advanced digital signal processing and supports high dynamic range (HDR), enhancing its ability to deliver high-quality visuals with vibrant colors and exceptional clarity. The integration of three 2/3-inch CMOS sensors, each boasting 8.3 million pixels, significantly reduces noise and enhances color fidelity and sensitivity.

The DK-H700 stands out for its multi-format flexibility, adhering to the ITU-R.BT-2020 wide color gamut specifications and the REC BT2100 HDR standards. This versatility enables producers to create content in either HDTV or UHD SDI formats simultaneously, thanks to its dual workflow configuration. An added ¼ ND filter improves depth of field and reduces moiré patterns on video walls, thereby enriching the camera’s artistic potential.

Additional Offerings: The SK-UHD7000 Series

In addition to the DK-H700, Hitachi Kokusai will also present the SK-UHD7000-S2 camera from its SK-UHD7000 Series. Launched last year, the SK-UHD7000-S2 is a multi-format camera that provides an economical 4K license upgrade option, allowing users to start with high-quality 1080p production and move to 4K as needed.

Overall, Hitachi Kokusai’s presence at the NAB Show 2024 underscores its commitment to innovation and quality in live production technology, offering tools that blend superior visual performance with cost-effective solutions.
