The booth, located at 837, features two advanced camera systems designed for diverse live production requirements, allowing for use in separate applications or combined for more comprehensive production needs.
SK-UHD7000 Camera System for 4K UHD Production
One of the systems on display is the SK-UHD7000, a live production camera built for capturing 4K UHD video in dynamic environments such as broadcast or live events. The camera features three 2/3-inch CMOS sensors with native 4K resolution, providing sharp 3840×2160 UHD footage. Its global shutter technology helps to eliminate common issues like flickering and banding, often encountered in environments with LED lighting or large displays.
The SK-UHD7000 is also optimized for performance in various lighting conditions, with an F11 sensitivity at 59.94 frames per second, enabling quality video capture in low light. It also has a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 62 dB, which ensures clear and quiet images. A similar model, the SK-UHD7000-S2, is also available for customers who want 1080p production today but plan to upgrade to 4K UHD in the future through a licensing option.
DK-H700 Box Camera for Focused Applications
Hitachi Kokusai is also presenting the DK-H700, a compact 4K box camera designed for point-of-view (POV) applications in professional AV and government settings. This model, introduced earlier this year, also serves high-end broadcast and venue environments, working seamlessly with the SK-UHD7000 to provide consistent image quality from different viewpoints. Both models share the same UHD sensor technology.
The DK-H700 is equipped with 2/3-inch RGB 3-chip sensors, producing high-quality images with 8.3 million pixels. It also supports advanced digital signal processing and High Dynamic Range (HDR), delivering accurate color and sharp visuals with minimal noise.
Multi-Format and HDR Support
The DK-H700 complies with ITU-R.BT-2020 wide color gamut specifications and REC BT2100 HDR standards. It offers dual workflow configurations, enabling content creators to produce programs in both HDTV and UHD formats.
This streamlined display of Hitachi Kokusai’s camera systems showcases their versatility and capability to meet a wide range of live production needs.
