Hobolite has announced the availability of two new LED bi-color lights, the Avant Max and the Avant Mini Max.
These new products are designed for content creators needing portable and powerful lighting solutions.
Avant Max Lighting Kits
The Avant Max is available in two kits: Standard and Creator. The bi-color unit features 80W of power, providing 9005 lux at 3.3 feet (6500K). It offers a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K and dimming control from 0% to 100%. The unit is portable and lightweight, weighing approximately 2 lbs (0.9 kg) and measuring 4.8 x 3.6 x 3.9 inches (12.19 x 9.14 x 9.91 cm). It comes in retro brown or midnight black with faux leather details. It has a CRI and TLCI rating of 96.
Modern features include an LCD screen, Bluetooth, and NFC tap support, with control available through the Hobolite app on iOS and Android from up to 65.6 feet. The kits include a detachable 99Wh battery pack, an AC dual port adapter, an Avant Max lens for intensifying light output, a 100W power supply, a D-tap cable, and an AC cord. The Creator kit also includes a Max Barndoor Set with color gels and a V-mount clamp.
The battery pack provides 1.3 hours of light at maximum brightness, 3 hours at half intensity, and 11 hours at 10% brightness, and it can also power other devices.
Avant Mini Max Lighting Kits
The Avant Mini Max is more portable than the Avant Max. It features a unit with a 20º-50º lens and a 40W output at 7325 lux at 3.3 feet (6500K). It is available in three kits: Standard, Creator, and Travel. The Standard and Creator packages include a 99Wh battery, the Mini Max lens, a Max handle, a USB-C cable, and a 65W power adapter. The Creator kit also includes a Max Barndoor Set with color gels and an AC dual port adapter. The Travel kit includes an AC dual port adapter, a Mini Max lens, a Max LiteDock with a USB-C cable, color gels, a frosted dome, and a 65W power adapter, but does not include the 99Wh battery, instead relying on the Max LiteDock’s 3450 mAh power bank.
Pricing and Availability
All kits and options are currently available to order. The Avant Max Standard Kit is priced at $699, and the Avant Max Creator Kit is $899. The Avant Mini Max Standard Kit is available for $599, the Creator Kit for $799, and the Travel Kit for $599.
