Jonathan will discuss how a landmark collaboration between the UK’s leading public service broadcasters puts the viewer first in the streaming age.

He will share insights from working with Everyone TV’s shareholders – the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 – to launch Freely in the UK earlier this year. Freely enables audiences to switch seamlessly between live and on demand content from the free-to-air broadcasters for free over the internet, without the need for a dish or aerial. As PSBs work to respond to changing viewer behaviours, Freely is a bold innovation from UK broadcasters and other free-to-air content providers to ensure free TV continues to be easily available for everyone. Jonathan will speak on the cross-industry collaborations required to develop Freely using the open source HbbTV operator application. As consumers across Europe and beyond continue to evolve their viewing habits, how can we ensure that PSB content remains available and relevant?
