Australian company Ignite Digi has introduced the Control Deck for DJI Transmission, a new advanced remote controller designed to integrate seamlessly with DJI’s Transmission ecosystem.
This device offers professional control over DJI gimbals, as well as focus, iris, zoom, and more.
Background on DJI Transmission
DJI Transmission, launched two years ago, is known for its comprehensive wireless ecosystem that combines low-latency wireless video transmission with gimbal, FIZ, and camera control. Despite its capabilities, the system’s design may require some acclimation for operators used to other controllers.
Features of the Ignite Digi Control Deck
The Ignite Digi Control Deck is built to work with the DJI Transmission system, providing remote control capabilities for camera movement on DJI Ronin 2, RS3/RS4 Pro gimbals, Inspire 3, and Ronin 4D. It is available in two bundles: Complete and Core.
Power and Battery Options
Each kit includes a user-interchangeable battery plate with four battery options: TB50, TB51, V-mount, or Gold mount. A single battery can power the controller, DJI High Bright Monitor, and additional camera accessories.
Control Interface
The controller features a large screen for settings display, physical knobs, buttons, and a 3-axis joystick for gimbal, FIZ, run/stop, iris control, and more. The joystick offers three different response modes: linear, squared, or cubic, for precise camera movement control.
Connectivity and Additional Features
The device includes a 6-pin DC-IN port (11-17V) for power supply, two 2-pin LEMO outputs for accessories, a Transmission port for the DJI High Bright Monitor, and a recessed USB-C PD output (30W). The USB-C port can charge mobile devices or power a USB-C flashlight included in the kit, providing 650 lumens, CRI of 90+, and four brightness levels for dim environments.
Monitor Mount and Storage Solutions
The Complete Kit includes a Pro-Workflow Monitor Mount with a 4-inch NATO rail for horizontal repositioning, attaching via the “Cheese Block,” and folding for compact storage. It also comes with a high-end wheeled hard case with a custom foam insert for a fully-rigged Control Deck setup.
