Ikegami is set to unveil its latest products at NAB NY 2024, showcasing advanced camera systems and a master-grade 4K monitor.

The company’s booth, number 1027, will feature the new UHL-X40 4K-UHD/HD 3-CMOS camera, alongside the UHK-X600 camera and HQLM-3125X monitor.

Introducing the UHL-X40 Ultra-Compact UHD/HD HDR Camera

The UHL-X40 is an ultra-compact box-style UHD camera designed for high-performance in limited spaces. Measuring 4.7 x 5 x 4.4 inches and weighing only 2.4 pounds, it provides powerful UHD imaging. The camera operates with a 12-volt DC power source and connects to the compact CCU-X40 via a single-mode fiber optic link, allowing uncompressed RGB data transfer over distances up to 6.2 miles. The fiber connection also supports a 1G Ethernet trunk for additional data transmission such as pan/tilt/zoom control.

Equipped with three 2/3-inch UHD sensors using a global shutter design, the UHL-X40 delivers clear images without geometric distortion, even when filming LED screens or under stage lighting with flash or strobe effects. It offers F10 sensitivity at 2160p59.94 and a 62 dB signal-to-noise ratio in HD. HDR and BT.2020 color reproduction come standard.

The CCU-X40 supports dual-format output, including 2160p UHD and 1080i HD, with selectable resolution and scanning options. A supplementary HD monitor output provides additional information such as menu settings, markers, and focus assist. The camera also includes automatic vignetting correction and F-stop ramping zoom lens compensation. It can be controlled using Ikegami’s OCP-500 panel, featuring joystick and touchscreen control for full operation.

Highlighting the UHK-X600 4K-Upgradeable HDR Camera System

The UHK-X600 is part of the Unicam XE series and designed for versatile use in both studio and on-location broadcasts. It features three 2/3-inch UHD sensors for 1000 TV lines resolution and sensitivity of 2000 lux at F10 (60p). The camera supports Hybrid Log Gamma HDR and BT.2020/BT.709 color spaces. The global shutter minimizes image artifacts when shooting LED screens or strobe-lit scenes.

Optional license-based upgrades include high frame rate support (up to 4x) and 4K processing for UHD resolution. The camera can be equipped with SMPTE ST 2110 media-over-IP and 12G output board options, and its low-profile design allows flexibility in mounting options.

Spotlight on the HQLM-3125X Master-Grade 4K Monitor

Ikegami’s HQLM-3125X is a 31-inch master-grade 4K monitor with a resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 pixels and 10-bit color depth. Designed for precision image evaluation, the monitor offers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with true black reproduction. Its dual LCD layer system improves backlight control, and the wide 178-degree viewing angle ensures consistent image quality from different perspectives. The HQLM-3125X supports 1D and 3D LUTs and is compatible with BT.2020 color gamut standards. It includes 12G-SDI, 3G-/HD-SDI, and HDMI inputs.
