This new feature aims to significantly reduce ad placement time by up to 90 percent and enhance inventory utilization, thereby increasing profitability for media organizations. The xG PlacerPlus feature is now available as part of xG Linear version 2.6.
Features of xG Linear
xG Linear is an enterprise-level advertising management solution designed for MVPD (Multichannel Video Programming Distributors) operations. It offers functionalities such as ad placement, copy management, schedule optimization, and real-time visibility. The platform can be deployed either on-premises or as a cloud-hosted solution, integrating with leading ad tech partners through open APIs. It is scalable to support up to 10,000 headends, making it suitable for complex and growing sales operations.

The xG PlacerPlus feature is designed to reduce ad placement time and optimize revenue generation by automatically managing ad placements. It can reallocate lower-cost ads to other slots when a high-value order is received, ensuring that high-value ads are placed in the most valuable inventory. This automation helps operators maximize profitability from their ad inventory.

The use of color-coded ad unit icons in the schedule viewer further aids in quickly identifying available inventory.
Prepare for Convergence
The Ad Unit Classification feature allows for user-defined tracking of nonlinear ad units at the order line level. This functionality supports media organizations in transitioning to converged workflows, managing ad campaigns across various TV channels including linear, CTV, and FAST, and effectively tracking impression-based ad units.
