Interview with Jassim Nalakam Parambil, Vice President of Sales at Unilumin Middle East and Africa, at ISE 2024.
Hello, welcome to ISE. I’m Jassim Nalakam, the Vice President of Sales at Unilumin Middle East and Africa. I welcome you all to our booth at ISE 2024 from Unilumin.
First, I’d like to talk about what we have at ISE this year. We see a lot of companies introducing unique models of thinner screens, including micro LED with transparent technology, specifically M-COB, which combines MIP with COB technology, as we have here on display. These are innovative technologies that, in the next couple of years, will likely become mainstream. They offer significant advantages to the LED industry, such as reduced power consumption, lower heat generation, and better viewing angles and clarity in terms of resolution. This makes these screens versatile in different layouts, which is an important highlight from Unilumin’s perspective.
Apart from this, we also have the thinnest LED currently in production, the AM series. We have a 1.5 Megapixel display that’s as thin as paper, introduced for the first time at ISE. We expect new models to come from this series. It features individual pixels that are controlled, generating virtually no heat. This makes it ideal for indoor use, consuming very little power while also generating minimal heat. Currently, we offer it in a 55-inch series, with plans to introduce larger sizes soon.
Also, we’ve launched a back-to-back screen with a very thin 45 mm cabinet. You can choose different pixel pitches on each side, and they can be controlled independently. For example, if you have a shop, you can have one screen facing outdoors with high brightness and select the pixel pitch and brightness for the part facing indoors. You can choose a smaller pitch with, let’s say, 600 nits. This is another new product we’re showcasing at this event.
We also have the Micro Series and Mini Series, ranging from 0.4, 0.6, 0.7, and from 0.9 all the way to 1.8 meters. What’s happening in the industry is that AI is becoming increasingly important. It’s about collaboration with different technologies and packages, not just displays. The communication between displays, content management, and how content is selected by the controller based on the time of day, are all influenced by AI. It determines the right content to play on the screen, adjusts brightness, viewing angles, and even preferences for brightness or channels on a display. AI is very important, and this year, we expect to see many new products embedded with AI from the design stage itself.
Once again, thank you for joining us at the Unilumin booth. I’m happy to share more information. Do look us up on our website, and I hope you all have a good day. Thank you.
Thank you for your time!
