Interview with Mark Townsend, International Sales, Studio Technologies, at ISE 2024.
TKT1957: Mark, can you tell me about your solutions and the equipment you’ve presented here?
Mark: Certainly. We’re Studio Technologies, an audio-based company with a strong focus on Dante. It’s our first time at ISE, and we’re showcasing our entire range of products. We have small belt packs, announcer consoles, automated clocks, and Dante bridges. All these products are designed for use in high-end broadcast and corporate settings, and they’re well-suited for more than just small, intimate systems.
For example, we’ve got the Leader Clock, a very popular product in the Dante ecosystem. It can operate with a GPS antenna or with a word clock for video synchronization. It’s used to provide a leader for all the Dante equipment on the network.

We’re also showing our Dante Bridge, which is essentially a way to connect two separate Dante networks, Network A and B. This is particularly useful if you have a conference facility and a mobile production facility; you can connect both Dante networks together while maintaining isolation, almost like a Dante firewall. This ensures there are no security issues, and audio flows seamlessly between the two networks.
Additionally, we have a range of intercom products, like our Model 5421 and 5422A. These allow you to create virtual party line circuits in Dante. You can use a combination of our products, or third-party Dante products, to use the intercom engine, intercom stations, belt packs, and consoles to make cost-effective Dante party line circuits and intercom systems. That’s primarily why we’re here at the show.
It’s our first time at ISE, and we’re very impressed by the quality and number of visitors we’ve had, so I’m sure we’ll be back next year.
