Johan Lieffers, Datavideo: Innovative Switchers, PTZ Cameras, and AI-Powered Automation at ISE 2025

Johan Lieffers, Managing Director of Datavideo, took part in the TFT 1957 survey of ISE 2025 exhibitors on their showcased solutions and equipment in Barcelona, February 4-7, 2025.

– What products and solutions has your company presented here?

We are presenting a new switcher that incorporates control for overflow cameras. You can connect three cameras and an additional HDMI source, all based on an AVoIP single-wire concept. This allows you to control and switch everything from a single unit, making setup quick and easy. The system also supports live streaming and recording within the same unit.

Another key product we’re showcasing is the PTR-15, a 12G-SDI robotic camera head. Unlike traditional PTZ cameras, this system provides full integration with the majority of 12G-SDI cameras, offering high flexibility for professional broadcast environments.

Additionally, we are introducing a new 600-series PTZ camera, a larger model that features modular interfacing options for Dante, fiber, and 12G-SDI connectivity. This camera is designed for high-end AV and broadcast applications where adaptability and long-distance signal transmission are critical.

We are also showcasing iCosmini, an upstream switcher designed for seamless integration with Microsoft Teams and Zoom. This solution is ideal for hybrid education and corporate environments, allowing users to easily mix video sources, such as a camera feed and PowerPoint presentation. With its simple four-button control, even non-technical users can operate it effortlessly.

Lastly, we are demonstrating Voice TRX, our AI-powered voice tracking system for broadcast-grade automated production. This controller ensures smooth, high-quality automation for live events, conferences, and hybrid meetings, making production scalable and efficient. We have live demos running, and we invite everyone to experience these technologies in action.

– What are the main trends of the exhibition? What are the main trends in our industry?

One of the biggest trends in AV and broadcast technology today is increasing automation and AI-driven solutions for live production environments. As systems become more advanced, there is a growing need to simplify operations while maintaining high-quality output.

Another major challenge in our industry is bridging the gap between technology and usability. Many professionals struggle to understand how to implement AV-over-IP, remote production, and AI automation in their facilities. We aim to make AV technology more accessible, providing user-friendly solutions that seamlessly integrate into corporate, education, and broadcast environments.

The demand for high-quality hybrid meeting solutions is also driving innovation. More companies are seeking scalable, automated, and remote-controlled systems that deliver professional-grade production while remaining intuitive and easy to use. These trends are shaping the future of AV, making systems smarter, more flexible, and highly efficient.
