TKT1957 and IBC 2023 Chronicles: Industry Pioneers’ Strategic Disclosures:
- What are the main trends of IBC 2023, in your opinion?
Well, having just landed from my flight, I’m gearing up to see a significant AI presence this year. It feels like the year has been dominated by machine learning, especially with the surge in generated images, audio, and video. That’s what I’m anticipating. I’m not on a specific hunt for it, but it’s on my radar. Just yesterday, I came across a video showcasing how AI can now emulate a voice. It can take a sample and reproduce that voice in different languages, maintaining the same tone and style. It’s truly remarkable. For someone like me, hailing from Spain and accustomed to dubbed content, the idea of AI replicating authentic voice tones in various languages is groundbreaking.
- Are there any developments in integrating AI into your solutions?
When it comes to AI, particularly in my domain of virtual reality and AR, we’re introducing enhancements for television. We’re integrating immersive experiences that complement traditional TV viewing. Imagine watching a football match and having access to metadata, multiple camera angles, and even auto-generated highlights. We’ve partnered with several entities that harness AI and machine learning to create micro-highlights of pivotal moments. This allows viewers to relive those moments on a secondary screen.
