Blueprints for Success: TKT1957 interview with Juliano Milanez, SNEWS

Juliano Milanez, Head Of BizDev ROW at SNEWS – (NRCS) NewsRoom Control Systems: Industry Titans’ Strategies Shared with TKT1957.

  • What are the main trends of IBC 2023, in your opinion?

We’ve gained a very positive impression from the show. We’ve noticed that many people are receptive to us and the challenges we currently face. We are in a strong position to expand our business globally. This exhibition is pivotal for us as it enables us to connect with customers from all around the world.

  • What are the main directions of development most characteristic in your segment of the industry?

Firstly, we democratize the way news is produced by simplifying it and developing user-friendly interfaces crafted by journalists. The learning curve to utilize the system and create news is notably swift. Integration is another key aspect; we can integrate with anyone without specific requirements. If we encounter protocols with which we cannot integrate, we have specialized developers to create such integration protocols. Additionally, regarding legacy systems, for customers with outdated newsroom systems who wish to migrate to something that allows them to adapt to new business models, we can import these resources and adapt the legacies to our new newsroom setup.

  • What new products is your company showcasing at IBC 2023?

We are introducing the Arion NRCS newsroom system. It’s an extremely affordable solution that is viable for any language worldwide. We offer 24/7 support globally and have system integrators and support personnel stationed worldwide. Another notable feature of the software is its lightweight, web-based technology. Essentially, it’s an HTML file, so it can operate on any platform, whether you use Windows, Linux, or iOS. Furthermore, it is hybrid, meaning it can be cloud-based or on-premise.

  • Are there any developments in integrating AI into your solutions?

We have incorporated some AI into our solution due to substantial market demand. However, we exercise caution. Our approach with AI involves obtaining information from highly reliable sources to provide reporters with accurate and substantial data, avoiding the dissemination of false information. One initiative we’ve undertaken is forming an agreement with a company that measures channel audiences. With this data, we understand what, when, and where specific cities would like to view. Armed with this information, we can create content that is both useful and needed in that region.
