Biography

Kanat Kasymzhanov was born on July 12, 1983 in the Almaty region, in the city of Issyk.

In 2004, he graduated from the T. Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics with a degree in Economics. He also received his education at the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow.

He started his career in 2004 at Kazkommertsbank JSC, where he held positions of manager, senior manager and head of department. Then he worked at Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and Eurasian Bank JSC. He held the position of chief manager of the Astana International Financial Center.

Previously, he served as Deputy General Director for Financial Affairs of «Kazmedia Оrtalygy» Management Company LLP.
