JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, has announced the immediate availability of its KM-IP12S8 and KM-IP12S8PRO CONNECTED CAM vMix Studio Switchers.
These new switchers are designed to provide comprehensive live video production solutions, including live mixing, switching, recording, and streaming. They are suitable for various multi-camera, fast-paced applications such as live sports and event productions. Each switcher comes with a licensed version of either vMix 4K or vMix Pro Live Production and Streaming software, which are well-regarded in the industry.
Product Details and Features
The KM-IP12S8 switcher includes a vMix 4K license and supports up to 12 NDI®/SRT and eight SDI video inputs. It offers multiple output options, including 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and up to four live 3840×2160 60p inputs via 12G-SDI/NDI. The switcher also features three 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports for NDI, SRT, Dante, and RTMPS internet connectivity. Additionally, it provides concurrent outputs to three CDNs, Multiview, and ISO recording, all housed in a quiet 4RU case with liquid cooling.
The KM-IP8SPRO model has similar hardware specifications but includes the vMix Pro software license, which supports eight-channel instant replay.
User-Friendly Design and Additional Features
Both switchers feature a front dock with four removable SSD drive trays and USB 3.0 Gen.2 ports for digital audio and control surfaces. This includes compatibility with JVC’s RM-LP350G vMix Control Surface with PTZ camera joystick and the RM-LP450G vMix Slow-Motion Control Surface, designed for use with vMix Replay.
