JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, recently launched the RM-LP450G Slow-Motion Controller. This new device is designed to enhance live playback workflows for vMix Studio Switchers.
The RM-LP450G boasts a contemporary design and a straightforward control layout, featuring 38 illuminated keys that simplify operation and minimize errors.
Targeted at Sports Broadcasting
The RM-LP450G is specifically tailored for sports broadcasting, addressing the replay requirements of this sector. It features quick-action Playback Search Disks and a Control T-bar for precise video playback speed control. Users can access up to eight video inputs simultaneously, allowing for multi-angle camera views and customized playback for analysis and broadcasting.

Joseph D’Amico, Vice President of JVC Professional Video, highlighted the benefits of the new controller for in-house stadium and arena production teams. He noted its ability to provide a straightforward and cost-effective solution for direct video output to scoreboards, utilizing the combination of eight video sources and instant replay.
Advanced Playback and Search Features
The RM-LP450G includes a Control T-bar for easy adjustment of playback speeds. It also offers inner and outer Playback Search Disks for thorough forward and reverse video search, ranging from frame-by-frame to 16x real-time. This flexibility caters to various operational speeds.
Playback Marking and Camera Selection Functions
The device is equipped with a Playback MARK Area function, allowing users to set IN and OUT points for camera playback. This feature is ideal for marking specific segments in a game for in-game replays, slow-motion reviews, or post-game highlights. Additionally, a CAMERA Selection Area function is available for setting slow-motion playback for live or pre-broadcast previews.
Compatibility with JVC CONNECTED CAM™ Studio Switchers
The RM-LP450G is compatible with JVC’s award-winning CONNECTED CAM™ vMix-Powered Studio Switchers, including the KM-IP8 and KM-IP8S4 models. It connects easily via USB and is compatible with the switchers’ multiple input and output options, including NDI® HX inputs, 3G-SDI inputs, and various output ports. These switchers are optimized for live programming in SD up to full HD 1080 60P.
