Kinefinity has released a firmware update, KineOS 7.3, for its MAVO Edge and mark2 camera models.
This update introduces an improved playback interface that includes a clip timeline, options for adjustable playback speed and reverse playback, and a clip list view. Users can navigate these features through the camera’s physical controls or touchscreen.
Expanded Color Temperature Range and Additional Features
The update expands the camera’s color temperature range to 2000-11,000K and introduces the KC709 LUT for better color accuracy in image monitoring. It also includes options for quickly accessing four preset color temperatures and has improved the precision of auto white balance to a 10K accuracy level.
Usability Enhancements
KineOS 7.3 adds several usability features, such as Wi-Fi AP mode, allowing the camera to function as a hotspot. It also includes an in-camera clip recovery feature to repair damaged footage and an electronic horizon level that can be displayed over SDI output.
New Recording Modes for Anamorphic Lenses
The MAVO Edge 6K and MAVO mark2 LF cameras have received two new S35 4K recording modes, designed for use with anamorphic lenses, in 4:3 (4096×3072) and 6:5 (4096×3432) aspect ratios.
