KIPON has released its new Version 2 PL-PL 1.25x Expander, designed for compatibility with a wide range of PL mount zoom and prime lenses.
The KIPON Baveyes Cine Expander 1.25x V2 enlarges the image of PL mount lenses, making it suitable for medium format and full-frame cameras.
Key Features
The adapter includes an optical system with three groups of five glass elements, which have a high refractive index and low dispersion.
It supports a maximum light input of F1.4.
The maximum lens immersion depth is 21mm.
The adapter maintains sharpness and color accuracy across the entire image, even at high speeds.
It comes with a lens checker for ease of use.

Functionality
The KIPON Expander magnifies the image by 1.25x and extends the image circle up to 48mm. This increases the focal length and image diameter of the lens by 25% while minimizing light loss, providing flexibility when using different camera formats.

Updates in Version 2
The Version 2 model features a redesigned optical system with improved sharpness and color accuracy across the entire image. The enhancements specifically improve image quality at a maximum T-Stop of 1.4, offering better performance in low-light conditions. Additionally, the flange distance has been increased to 21mm from the previous 17.5mm, enabling greater compatibility with various PL lenses and simplifying installation.
