The Venus Optics Ranger Lite Cine Zooms have a new, more durable magnesium alloy casing and weigh 10% less than the regular versions.

Ranger Compact Cine Zoom Series for the full-frame market has been unveiled by Laowa. The lens set comprises the FF Ranger 28-75mm T2.9 and FF Ranger 75-180mm T2.9 lenses, designed to cater to the needs of both individual filmmakers and production companies. These lenses offer exceptional features and outstanding performance to facilitate cinematic storytelling. The standard version weighs approximately 1.4kg/3.08lbs, while the Lite Version is even lighter by 10%, allowing for quality results with minimal effort in setup.

The Ranger series features an extensive and versatile zoom range, offering a total zoom ratio of over 6.4x. Their lightweight design enables effortless capture of stunning shots at both ends of the zoom spectrum. Filmmakers can appreciate the convenience of the parfocal design, ensuring consistent focus throughout zooming, with virtually no focus breathing. The extremely close focus distance of 0.49m/1’6″ and 0.89m/2’9″ respectively makes these lenses perfect for captivating close-up shots.

These lenses are professionally crafted with cine housing, incorporating a built-in back focus adjustment system for on-site convenience, ensuring a smooth and reliable shooting experience.
