Lawo to Unveil New IP Infrastructure and Audio-Visual Technologies at ISE 2024

ISE 2024 in Barcelona is set to feature the latest in AV technology, encompassing a range of equipment for theater, home production, and more.

Lawo will be at the forefront, introducing its AVoIP solutions designed for diverse applications like corporate infrastructure, stadium broadcasting, and remote productions. A highlight of this event will be the first Barcelona showcase of Lawo’s new crystal broadcast mixing console. This innovative console will be complemented by the presentation of pooling options, allowing multiple consoles to operate via a single A__UHD Core.

The New Crystal Broadcast Mixing Console

Lawo’s latest crystal console is based on the open RAVENNA/AES67 Audio-over-IP networking standards and adheres to SMPTE ST2110-30/-31 for audio and ST2022-7 for redundancy. Integrated with Lawo’s Power Core, a software-defined, high-density DSP mixing engine, the crystal console offers expanded I/O capabilities. Its compact and efficient design, available in light and dark versions, makes it suitable for various spaces, particularly those where space is limited. The console’s customizability and dual operating modes – Power Core and Controller – cater to various audio production workflows, enhancing its versatility in broadcast operations and as a backup solution.

Mc²36 MkII Audio Production Console on Display

Alongside the crystal console, Lawo will also showcase its mc²36 MkII audio production console, ideal for high-performance audio applications in confined spaces like theaters, places of worship, and live broadcasts. The mc²36 MkII, with A__UHD Core functionality, supports 256 processing channels and a wide range of formats, including ST2110 and AES67. Its user-friendly features, like touch-sensitive controls and LiveView™ video thumbnails, enhance its operational efficiency.

HOME Apps: Server-Based Processing Innovations

Lawo will introduce its HOME Apps, a suite of software processing applications like HOME Multiviewer and HOME Graphic Inserter. These apps utilize a microservice architecture for efficient processing with minimal energy use. Compatible with various formats and adaptable to evolving technology and budgetary needs, HOME Apps offer unprecedented versatility in media processing.

Enhanced .edge Hyper-Density SDI/IP Conversion and Routing Platform

The exhibition will also feature the .edge Hyper-Density SDI/IP Conversion and Routing Platform, a comprehensive solution for IP and hybrid infrastructures. It supports up to 192 SDI/IP conversions in a 2RU space, with full compliance with SMPTE ST2110 and advanced handling of audio, video, and data streams. With options like JPEG XS compression, .edge optimizes bandwidth usage in various workflows.

HOME Management Platform: Streamlining IP-Based Media Infrastructures

Lastly, Lawo’s HOME management platform will be presented, offering a solution to connect, manage, and secure IP-based media infrastructures. Built on a cloud-ready microservices architecture, HOME enables centralized control over Lawo equipment and meets demanding requirements in modern IP infrastructures. Following open standards like ST2110 and NMOS, the platform exemplifies Lawo’s commitment to seamless, efficient workflow management across all its IP products.
