Leader Electronics, a global pioneer in high-quality test and measurement solutions, has unveiled advanced features for its acclaimed LVB440 IP analyzer.

Tailored for IP settings, the LVB440, accessible by up to eight users simultaneously via an HTML-5 web browser, is ideal for monitoring high-bitrate media traffic across broadcast studios, OB vehicles, remote production sites, master control rooms, and transmission networks.

Housed in a compact 1U, the LVB440 empowers teams to conduct real-time assessments on numerous media data streams concurrently across various sites. It offers precise, low-latency analysis of SD, HD, UHD, and full 4K data flow. It supports data rates from 10 to 50 gigabit/s, extending to 100 gigabit/s with dual interfaces. This ensures swift and comprehensive monitoring of an IP network’s every media transport layer, preempting and addressing issues before they affect viewer experience.

New enhancements feature an expanded audio toolset compatible with all current Dolby™ standards, improved event logging, and an additional information display offering context-specific operator guidance for each measurement.

The audio toolset showcases a display designed for efficient monitoring across vast transport streams, managing up to 64 channels in categories like mono, stereo, and 7.1.4 immersive. Audio loudness is presented in LUFS, the standard for audio normalization in TV broadcasting and professional media streaming. Additional tools include Dolby metadata display, a relative-phase goniometer, close-space room metrics, and an isolation mode for single-channel issues. Quick audio controls offer easy source access, muting, signal level adjustments, and immersive sound downmixing to stereo.

The LVB440’s IP error logging now captures up to 2,000 events continuously, offering a valuable reference of network activity before any QoS incidents.

A novel supplementary information display provides LVB440 users with pertinent details about each measurement, dynamically updating for context-specific insights. Hovercards alongside numerical readouts offer quick access to data significance and the analysis method in use.
