Leader emphasizes the SDI to IP transition at the upcoming SATIS exhibition, introducing the LT4670 SDI/IP reference and test signal generator.
Leader, a renowned name in the tech industry, is set to highlight its commitment to simplifying the transition from SDI to IP networking at the forthcoming SATIS exhibition in La Plaine Saint-Denis from 15-16 November. The company’s representatives, Kevin Salvidge (Sales Engineering Manager) and Djamel Djadi (Business Development Manager), will be present at the Audiopole stand.
Djamel Djadi spotlighted the LT4670 SDI/IP reference and test signal generator, stating, “The LT4670, housed in a compact 1U frame, is a precision tool designed for diverse environments like film and TV studios, remote production controls, OB trucks, and editing suites. It boasts a plethora of features, including six independent analog synchronous signal outputs, digital audio outputs, and linear timecode in/out.”
The standard LT4670 offers a myriad of functionalities, including 48 kHz word-clock output synchronized to incoming video, genlocked black burst signals, tri-level sync pulse generation, and more. Kevin Salvidge added, “Leader provides flexibility, allowing customers to enhance their LT4670 features as they transition from SDI-specific to SDI/IP hybrid or IP-centric operations. This purchasing strategy is consistent across many of our products, letting users align their investments with current and future workflow needs.”
Available options for the LT4670 range from GNSS-compatibility, SDI support for up to four outputs, PTP-compatibility, and more. The device also supports various SDI options, including lip-sync patterns, user patterns, superimposed embedded audio, and timecode pattern displays.
Another highlight is the LV7600 SDI/IP rasterizing waveform monitor, mirroring the capabilities of Leader’s flagship LV5600 but in a compact 19-inch 1U design. This device is adept at monitoring SDI and video-over-IP signals in hybrid environments. It supports protocols like SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE 2022-7, and SMPTE 2110.
The LV7600 also incorporates Leader’s CINEZONE and CINELITE, ensuring swift and intuitive quality monitoring for content creators. The recently introduced SER33 toolset for the LV5600 and LV7600 provides broadcast production teams with the tools to assess the quality of JPEG XS feeds during pre-transmission alignment and live content delivery.
