The Astra IP series introduces three distinct models, each designed to cater to different needs in film and photography lighting:

• Astra IP Half: This model is the lightest in the series, weighing only 6.2 pounds (2.8 kg). It is particularly suitable for use in confined spaces with low ceilings, offering a substantial light output of 1500 lux at a distance of 10 feet (3 meters). The Astra IP Half consumes 63 watts of power.
• Astra IP 1×1: Weighing 9.7 pounds (4.4 kg), the Astra IP 1×1 balances compactness with performance, delivering 3000 lux at 10 feet (3 meters). It is designed to produce consistent, high-quality white light under any condition.
• Astra IP 2×1: The largest model, the Astra IP 2×1, provides 5500 lux at 10 feet (3 meters) and is ideal for both indoor and outdoor settings. It has a robust build with an IP65 rating, ensuring it withstands challenging weather conditions. This model consumes 250 watts of power.

All models in the Astra IP range have a narrow beam angle of 30°, which is notably tighter compared to the 46° beam angle of the earlier Astra 6x model. They are equipped with highly efficient LEDs that offer adjustable white light ranging from 2,700K to 6,500K. The lights come with a diffusion panel and are compatible with optional battery plates such as Gold Mount, V-Mount, and BP-U.

Control and Connectivity

The Astra IP panels support multiple control methods. They can be managed individually or as a group through integrated Bluetooth for app-based wireless control or via onboard dual-dial and LCD controls. There are also provisions for wired DMX control, available separately.

Pricing and Availability

• The Astra IP Half Bi-Color LED Light Panel is set to be released in August and will be priced at $784.
• The Astra IP 1×1 Bi-Color LED Light Panel will hit the markets in July, available for $998.
• The Astra IP 2×1 Bi-Color LED Light Panel will be available from September, priced at $2,090.
