LiveU: New Cloud Live Production Solutions at IBC2024

LiveU, celebrating 18 years of service, will introduce its new cloud live production solutions and technological advancements at IBC2024.

The company’s new offerings leverage the latest in remote production and cloud-based services, providing a cost-effective, swift-to-deploy turnkey solution for live production.

Lightweight Sports Production Solution

The highlight of LiveU’s presentation will be the Lightweight Sports Production solution, featuring specialized sports production tools. This solution aims to reduce the time, effort, and cost of sports event coverage, making it feasible for events previously deemed too expensive to cover. The new tools will allow more sports stories to reach a broader audience.

Enhanced IP-video EcoSystem

LiveU’s Lightweight Production offering integrates components of its IP-video EcoSystem for easier and faster deployment. This includes portable field encoders, LiveU Studio—a cloud-based video production service—and IP-video optimized mobile data products. The system seamlessly integrates with third-party graphics and social engagement tools, providing full control from a single browser screen.

Improved LiveU Studio User Experience

LiveU will also unveil an enhanced user experience for LiveU Studio, featuring improved usability and intuitive controls. This enhancement simplifies the technical director’s role, reducing the resources required for production management.

EcoSystem Advancements

The LiveU EcoSystem will showcase new developments in ground-to-cloud-to-crowd technologies and story-centric workflows, improving efficiency and flexibility. LiveU Analytics, a new insights tool leveraging IP-video data for better workflow management, will also be on display. Additionally, LiveU’s commitment to content provenance validation will be highlighted, with tools like LiveU Ingest and story metadata solutions.

Steve Wind-Mozley, LiveU’s CMO, emphasized the company’s focus on cost-effective Lightweight Production workflows at IBC2024. He thanked customers and partners for their support over the past 18 years and expressed optimism for the future with new developments in LiveU Studio and the release of the Lightweight Sports Production solution.
