LiveU has strengthened its presence in France with an expanded team around the country, including sales, marketing, customer support and R&D.
The company has seen growing demand for its live video solutions in the country, specifically in the sports market as customers move to full and hybrid cloud production workflows.
Philippe Gaudion has joined the team as Regional Sales Manager for France, Belgium and Luxembourg, with extensive experience in the broadcast and sports industries. Philippe has a proven track record in the industry, covering 25 Tour de France races for ASO (Amaury Sport Organisation). Philippe also worked previously at TF1, Vizrt and had his own company providing TV graphics and automation tools for news channels. Based in Paris, Philippe will be working closely with Mathis Klein who has also joined the company as Technical Account Manager to provide technical assistance with POCs and on-site support with customer projects. Philippe and Mathis will work closely alongside the French team of eight leading the global product development of LiveU’s new cloud-based production service, LiveU Studio and regional rollout.
Zion Eilam, Regional VP of Sales, EMEA, LiveU, said, “Our strategy is to get closer to our customers in key markets, as we have in the UK, Spain and Australia. The proximity makes a difference as it allows us to respond even faster with tailored solutions and on-site technical support in the local language. France, together with Belgium and Luxembourg, are important markets for us and it was imperative for us to strengthen our French-speaking entity. We’re seeing growing opportunities as our EcoSystem evolves to meet the growing demand of producing sports and other content in the cloud. France is one of the leading sporting nations and we also have the Rugby World Cup and Paris Summer Games coming up. Live video is an essential tool for building fan engagement on digital channels and many of France’s premier sports clubs, including PSG, are already using our solution as an intrinsic part of their content strategy.”
LiveU recently announced the expansion of its EcoSystem for hybrid and agile live production workflows, adding efficiency, quality and adaptability for live content creators, built on LiveU’s field-proven LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport) protocol.
Eilam continued, “We’re excited that Philippe and Mathis have joined our team in this important market and that we can present our enhanced EcoSystem with a fresh start. With the surge in interest in cloud production, and our existing close customer relationships, France is set to be a key growth region for us going forward in sports, news and other key verticals.”
Last month, LiveU held its first Live Video Summit at the Paris Saint-German stadium, attended by leading broadcasters, system integrators, production companies, media outlets and first league sports clubs. The French customers were the first to see LiveU’s new IP on-site production solution in action since the official launch on April 4th.
