Technology in Action

Utilizing LiveU’s robust IP-video systems, SÄRF has equipped its personnel with over 200 LU-Smart mobile applications. These apps are primarily utilized by fire truck operators via their personal smartphones. Additionally, the LU300S field encoder is combined with a DJI Mavic Pro drone to offer aerial views during significant incidents. Live video feeds are streamed to a central LU2000 server at headquarters, where they are displayed on a 70-inch screen and can be distributed back to field personnel as needed.

Specialized Drone Operations

SÄRF has trained five of its personnel to operate drones in conjunction with the LU300S encoder for detailed assessments of emergency scenes. This capability proved valuable in a recent incident involving a fire in a pizzeria, where the drone was used to ensure no individuals were trapped inside. The technology is also employed in non-emergency situations, such as inspecting factory roofs during severe weather conditions.

Support from Entercast and Integration with Vindral

LiveU’s technology at SÄRF is supported by Entercast, its long-standing local partner in Sweden. Additionally, encrypted video feeds are managed through a real-time content-sharing platform provided by Vindral, allowing secure and immediate access to live streams via a web-based player.
